Federal Institutions
Apart from numerous science and research institutions, the Region of Bonn also hosts many federal institutions, actively involved in science and research. Some outstanding institutions are for example the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) with its headquarters in Bonn, the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM), Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning (BBR), the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation (BfN) and the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE).
